KSDK -- Storms that brought heavy rain and gusty winds to the bi-state Saturday morning continue to exit to the east, leaving just a few showers south of I-44 and east of I-57 as of 9AM.
What happens the rest of the day will depend on how far north a warm front lifts, and how much the atmosphere can recover after what we received this morning.
A cold front approaches this evening, and could trigger some scattered strong storms out ahead of it. If any storms become severe, the main threats would be large hail and 60 mph winds.
Those storms are expected to clear St. Louis before midnight, leaving the area dry by daybreak Sunday.
Some areas east of the Mississippi River have already reported more than 2" of rain since Friday.
