Six Texas Roadhouse restaurants in the St. Louis area raised $7,600 for the two Laclede Gas workers shot and killed while working last month.
A spokeswoman with Texas Roadhouse said the fundraiser had the most incredible turnout they've ever seen for a city-wide fundraiser and they were blown away by the community support.
Police said two Laclede Gas employees — 27-year-old Alex Boschert and 52-year-old William Froelich — were working on a gas line on the 5900 block of Minerva on April 20 when a shooter walked up to them and started shooting.
The suspect was identified as 51-year-old Clinton Willis.
