Two arrested after shots fired, speeding

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – Two people have been arrested after gunfire erupted outside of a downtown bar overnight.

The incident started in the area of Market and 21st Street for shots fired. According to witness accounts, two people in a black car fired shots in the air, then sped away from the scene.

The car was later spotted near Ashland and Newstead and sped away from police before hitting a pole and colliding with another car at Ashland and North Taylor.

Officers arrested the pair at the scene. The passengers of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries and were taken to an area hospital.
