ST. LOUIS - The United Way of Greater St. Louis will offer a Community Resource Drop-In Center Wednesday to allow residents affected by the events in Ferguson to receive a hot meal, food staples and children's activities.
The drop-in center is offered to those who live in 63135 and 63136 zip codes. Attendees will need to bring identification and a current utility bill to participate in the drop-in center.
The event will be held at the Dellwood recreation Center at 10266 West Florissant Avenue in St. Louis.
United Way also encourages people in need to call United Way 2-1-1 or 1-800-427-4626 for assistance, including counseling services. Representatives from United Way 2-1-1 will also be available at the Community Resource Drop-In Center to register individuals who may need additional resources.
On Saturday a similar event was help by United Way in collaboration with the Salvation Army, St. Louis Area Foodbank, American Red Cross, Urban League of metropolitan St. Louis and Urban Sprouts Development Center.
