Vigil, service planned for man crushed by car

​ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – Two services have been planned for a man who was killed when a speeding car flipped and crushed him earlier this week.

A candlelight vigil will take place Sunday and a tribute service has been planned Tuesday for Loyde Henley.

The accident happened Wednesday night in the 4200 block of Enright Avenue.

A car sped down Enright, and the driver lost control of the car, according to police. The car hit a hydrant and flipped before crushing Henley.

The driver and passenger then fled the scene.
The candlelight vigil will take place on Enright where he was killed Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, the tribute service will be held at Austin A. Layne Mortuary Renaissance Chapel in Jennings between 3 and 7 p.m.
