Woman killed in Potosi crash

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Mo. - A 53-year-old Berryman, Missouri woman died late Saturday night after in an ATV accident in Mark Twain National Forest, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

According to investigators, the accident occurred just before 11:10 p.m. in the 10700 block of Pigeon Roost Road in Potosi.

The driver, identified as Donna Dammrich, was traveling southbound when she failed to negotiate a left curve, ran off the roadway, and struck a tree. Dammrich, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, was ejected from her vehicle and landed in a ravine. The ATV in question did not have a seatbelt.

Dammrich was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
