Man shot, robbed in Soulard

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – Police are looking for two suspects who allegedly shot a man walking in the Soulard area early Saturday morning and stole his cell phone and wallet.

The victim was walking in the area of 10th Street and Shenandoah Avenue at approximately 2:45 a.m. Saturday when one of the suspects approached him from behind. After a brief struggle, the perpetrator fired one shot, hitting the victim in the abdomen. He then stole the victim's wallet and cell phone, before getting into a getaway vehicle driven by the second suspect.

They fled westbound on Shenandoah in what police describe as a grey, four-door sedan – possibly a 2005-2008 Kia Optima.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he is listed as stable.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect #1: - Black male, 20-25 years old, dark complexion, medium build, wearing

a black jacket, blue jeans, black or dark colored beanie, dark colored gloves, armed

with a black semi-automatic handgun.

Suspect #2: Black male wearing a white or light colored beanie
