Multi-alarm fire torches south city warehouse

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KSDK) -- A fire tore through a south city warehouse in the 4500 block of South Broadway Sunday morning.

Flames broke out just after 10:00 a.m. near the intersection of South Broadway and Ohio.

The streets around the warehouse were closed for about an hour as firefighters battled the blaze.

Officials say a man was living in the warehouses, but wasn't home when the fire started. It is believed that the fire started by a wood stove the man was using to heat the building.

It took about an hour to bring the fire under control.

The cold temperatures and icy roads made the job tough for firefighters. One of the fire trucks ended up getting stuck and had to be towed. VIDEO: Firetruck at the scene

No injuries were reported, but the man's dog is still missing.
