Police: Man in possession of marijuana gave unsolicited hug

GODFREY, Ill. (KSDK) – You've heard of hugs not drugs? Well, this 20-year-old Lewis and Clark Community College student chose both, according to a news release.

Michael Ramsey is charged with misdemeanor battery and unlawful possession of cannabis after allegedly touching another student inappropriately while giving her a hug. He did not know the victim.

While arresting Ramsey, deputies found fewer than 2.5 grams of marijuana in his possession. He was taken to Madison County Jail, where he was held on a $200 bond.
