Missing woman with schizophrenia found safe

UPDATE: Margaret Gratz was found safe Thursday afternoon.


ST. LOUIS COUNTY – St. Louis County Police have issued an Endangered Person Advisory for a missing 67-year-old woman.

According to police, Margaret Gratz was separated from her traveling companion on I-55 near I-270 and I-255 around 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

Gratz has schizophrenia and is on daily medication. Police say without her medication, she will be unable to drive or call home, and she will require hospitalization. She is described as a white female, approximately 4’10” tall, 118 pounds, and has brown hair, brown eyes, and light complexion.

Be on the lookout for a grey 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan with Missouri plates PP8F8C last seen NB on I-55 at the I-270/I-255 junction.

Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Louis County Police Department at 314-889-2341, or 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency.
