U.S. Attorney's office setting up election fraud and voting rights hotline

With less than a week until election day, the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District has announced a hotline to ensure voting rights for all, and to fight election fraud.

According to a press release from United States Attorney Richard Callahan's office, the hotline will help combat possible election fraud, voter intimidation and any other forms of election abuses.

The hotline will open at 6 a.m. and remain open until the polls close at 7 p.m. Voters can call (314) 589-2500 where the U.S. Attorney's Office and the St. Louis FBI will be on hand to field the allegations.

People outside the jurisdiction of the hotline can call the Civil Rights Division's Voting Section by calling 1-800-253-3931 or (202) 307-2767, by fax at (202) 307-3961 or by email at voting.section@usdoj.gov.
