Franks Jr. kicks off election bid

The new race for Missouri's 78th District State Rep seat kicks off Monday night.

Bruce Franks Jr. will be canvassing the neighborhoods, to drum up support.

As we reported Friday, a St. Louis judge ordered a special election in the district, amid questions over how absentee ballots were handled.

Franks, the challenger, got more votes in the August 2 primary than Incumbent Penny Hubbard. But Hubbard was declared the winner after the absentee votes were counted.

The special election will be held September 16th.
