Francisco Sanchez sentenced for role in cocaine distribution ring

East St. Louis, IL (KSDK) - A Caseyville man was sentenced Thursday to prison time for his role in a large cocaine distribution ring.

Francisco Sanchez, 27, pleaded guilty September 7, 2011 to one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute cocaine. He was sentenced to 37 months in federal prison, three years of supervised release, ordered to pay a fine of $375, and a special assessment of $100. He was also ordered to forfeit $37,800.

Twenty-five of Sanchez's co-conspirators entered guilty pleas, and one is currently awaiting trial.
