Belleville, IL (KSDK) - It's been a fixture of downtown Belleville since the 50s, but now it's closing.
Joan and Roger Agne will retire at the end of February, taking with them a piece of local history and many memories.
Cheryl Pride has been coming to Marvin's Camera for years but learned her focus will have to soon be on finding a new place.
"I opened up the paper Friday and I thought oh my God, Roger and Joan are on the front page of the paper and I felt very sad but very happy for them," said Cheryl Pride.
The husband and wife owners said it's time to retire and enjoy life outside the family business.
"People think it's a nine to five, but it's really more like an 80 hour a week if you are lucky," said owner Roger Agne.
The owners said many people are now coming in just to say goodbye and reminisce with just a few weeks before Marvin's Camera is no longer.
"It's hard to say I'm gonna pack up and close but there's still life out there," said Roger Agne.
