East St. Louis, Ill (KSDK) -- An East St. Louis man admitted to having two guns while on marijuana.
Lee Marvin Matthews, 22, pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm by a user of a controlled substance on July 16, according to U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, Stephen Wigginton.
Matthews was in St. Clair County when he had a 9mm pistol and a semi-automatic rifle in late August 2011. He admitted to using marijuana daily for two years.
Matthews will be sentenced in November. He faces up to 10 years in prison and a fire of $250,000.
