MENARD, Ill. (KSDK) - The Illinois Department of Corrections and Illinois State Police are investigation after a prisoner was found dead.
The unidentified inmate was found around 6:35 p.m. January 31 at the Menard Correctional Center in Menard, Illinois.
The Department of Corrections is currently trying to notify the next of kin.
A cause of death has not been released.
