KSDK -- An Alhamabra man was believed to have been riding a lawnmower to his friend's home when he died.
Madison County Coroner Stephen P. Nonn said an autopsy revealed Robert Joseph Geschwend, 61, had extensive cardiovascular disease, but there was no sign of trauma.
Geschwend was found dead underneath an overturned mower by a passer-by on Suhre Road around 3:52 p.m. on September 20.
Geschwend was not mowing at the time and may have been using it to go to a friend's nearby home.
Routine toxicology and microscopic studies will be undertaken prior to a precise cause of death being prescribed.
Funeral arrangements are pending at this time, but are under the direction of Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra, Illinois.
