KSDK -- A 43-year-old Collinsville man was sentenced Friday following his guilty plea on child pornography charges, according to US Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois A. Courtney Cox.

Paul L. Miskell entered a factual stipulation in court to charges of receipt and possession of child pornography. Miskell told the court he purchased the illicit material from a website located overseas in 2006.

An FBI investigation led to Miskell's home being searched in June 2008.

Miskell was sentenced to 63 months in prison, followed by a term of 10 years of supervised release. In addition, Miskell must register as a sex offender and pay a fine of $12,500.
