Remembering a St. Louis miracle, 150 years later

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – On this day 150 years ago, the only Vatican-certified miracle in the Midwest happened at the Shrine of Saint Joseph.

The church is just north of the Edward Jones Dome.

In 1864, a tuberculosis-stricken German immigrant was carried into the church, literally on his death bed.

However, the man kissed a sacred relic and he was almost instantly cured. He stood up and walked out of the church, and lived for many more years.

The man's descendents reflected on this amazing episode earlier today. Watch the video above for more.
