Scouts get emergency preparedness training

CLAYTON, Mo. (KSDK) – Many Boy Scouts are now better prepared to help emergency response teams in the event of a community disaster.

Local firefighters, police and EMTs all passed on their knowledge at Shaw Park in Clayton Saturday morning.

On top of learning valuable skills and training, scouts got the chance to complete several merit badge requirements for first aid, wilderness survival and other areas.
