(KSDK) -- Leaders in the African-American community want to help bring peace to north St. Louis by holding a march next month.
The Oneness Executive Committee announced Thursday at a press conference it wants 20,000 African-American men to march through north St. Louis on June 1 to help take a stand against violence for a 'Day of Reconciliation.'
The group plans to march along the old May Day parade route.
Leaders said the march is to show a united front against violence and any illegal activity in the city.
