Students struggle to cope with Colo. school shooting

CENTENNIAL, Colo. - Residents of Centennial, Colo. are still struggling to cope after a student opened fire at Arapahoe High School Friday.

Classes have been canceled this week in the wake the shooting.

Student Joe Redmond said he spoke to the gunman, 18-year-old Karl Pierson, last Monday about possibly rejoining the debate team, and was shocked by what happened Friday.

"It's tough looking forward to see when things are going to happen, but looking back I can definitely make connections," Redmond said.
