Test flight lands at Lambert on its belly

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – No one was injured after a Cape Air Cessna 402 going on a maintenance flight landed on its belly at Lambert Airport Saturday.

The flight took off at 4:23 p.m. The pilot and mechanic were taking a test flight to make sure everything was fine.

It ultimately landed with the right lane gear up, hitting the runway on its belly. The two wheels in front were not on the ground like they were supposed to be.

The airport was not closed and no flights were affected.
