Thousands of runners brave cold temps at Hot Chocolate Run

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KSDK) -- This Sunday, over 15,000 Runners braved the cold of Downtown St. Louis to participate in the annual Hot Chocolate Run.

The run began at 7:30 a.m. when temperatures were still in the low 20's. Thankfully, the runners are met at the finish line with hot chocolate and fondue treats.

This run benefited the Ronald McDonald House Charities. The Ronald McDonald House provides housing for families who have seriously ill children being treated at area hospitals and other local medical facilities.
