ST. CLAIR COUNTY - Lanes on the Martin Luther King Bridge will be closed so the bridge can be inspected, a press release from the Illinois Department of Transportation said.
The closures will begin on Monday, Sept. 19, when the westbound lanes of the bridge will be closed. The lanes will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both Monday and Tuesday.
Then, on Wednesday and Thursday, the eastbound lanes will be closed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Then, from Sept. 26 through Sept. 29, the eastbound right lane of the bridge will be closed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There will be no overnight lane restrictions.
