HOPKINS, Minn. - With just under a week left until the big day, a couple of Minnesota turkeys seemingly took a stand against Thanksgiving, blocking the northbound lane of 169.
David Schoettler tweeted the photo Thursday afternoon with the caption, "turkeys protesting Thanksgiving. Traffic at a stand still."
Schoettler said the traffic was backed up for about four miles and no one was moving.
The incident took place at Exit 126, near Excelsior Boulevard, in Hopkins.
MnDOT also tweeted to warn drivers of the animals blocking the highway.
