Two St. Louis men killed in car accident

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) -- Two people died Saturday after a wreck on Mississippi Highway 7 near University Avenue in Oxford.

Oxford police say the accident occurred at 4:45 a.m. when the vehicle overturned. The driver of the vehicle was taken to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis. Another passenger remains at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford.

Oxford Police Maj. James Owens says the victims have been identified as 20-year-old Chistopher J. Grimaud of St. Louis and 18-year-old Kevin J. Eagan of St. Charles, Mo.

Owens says both were pronounced dead at the scene around 5 a.m.

He says the accident is under investigation.
