Video: Rams corner Trumaine Johnson arrested for DUI

(KSDK Sports) -- A television station in Missoula, Montana is reporting that St. Louis Rams cornerback Trumaine Johnson was arrested in Missoula, Montana early on Friday morning on a misdemeanor DUI charge, according to KECI in Missoula.

Johnson was booked into the Missoula county jail at 3:05 a.m. and released after posting a $700 bond about an hour later.

The St. Louis Rams released the following statement Friday afternoon: "We are aware of the situation regarding Trumaine Johnson. We are gathering more information and will have no further comment at this time."

Johnson, a third-round pick last April, played in all 16 games and started three as a rookie. He had 31 tackles and a pair of interceptions, ending the year as the team's nickel back behind starters Janoris Jenkins and Cortland Finnegan.

Jenkins' red flags got more attention after the draft and when he was benched by coach Jeff Fisher for a game last season, but Johnson also came into the league with some baggage.

He was arrested, tased and charged with obstructing a police officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest during his time at Montana during a post-game incident in which alcohol was involved.
