Washington University freshman leads anti-smoking campaign

KSDK –He's just 18, a freshman at Washington University, and a Chesterfield resident who's been working at Casa de Salud, a local clinic, for the past three years.

Daniel Giuffra is the president of the Tobacco Free Missouri Youth Advisory Board.

He was recently invited to speak about his anti-smoking efforts at the National Press Clubin Washington D.C.

The speech was part of a recent U.S. Food and Drug Administration news conferencewhere a new campaign was announced aimed at curbing tobacco use among young people.
