West Palm Beach, FL (WPBF) -- A son put up for adoption 40 years ago and a mom in Florida get their happily ever after ... thanks to Facebook.
Forty years ago... that was the last time Alma Olson got to tell her son she loves him. And it was the power of the Internet, something unheard of the day she delivered her little boy, that eventually brought this mother and son back together.
"My son, when he got old enough he opened his birth records and found out I was his birth mother. It took him 20 years to find me and found me on my birthday April 3rd."
Olson is pretty savvy online, and little did she know, Facebook would reunite her with her son Larry Johnson.
"I almost fell out the chair, when I saw this come up I thought oh my gosh. Oh my gosh! Lord what are you doing here? Is it time for me finally to see my son."
And it sure was. Johnson says he had a wonderful childhood, but sadly had to bury both his parents last year. But because he never gave up searching, he was able to share this Mother's Day with someone very special.
"So how was your day?"
"Oh it's been so outrageously beautiful. I tell you... I just can't and this has made it so much better."
And if this Mother's Day story can't get any better... in just a few weeks Alma is flying to Arizona to watch her son get married.
