Clayton, MO (KSDK) - A number of prominent St. Louisans were honored at the NAACP's annual Freedom Fund Dinner at the Ritz-Carlton.

"Your power, your vote, your decision" was the theme of this year's event hosted by the St. Louis County branch of the organization.

Congressman Emanuel Cleaver of Kansas City was the keynote speaker.

Ina Boon, retired regional director for the NAACP National Headquarters, was presented with the Wallace West Commitment to St. Louis County Award.
