St. Louis (KSDK) - The new downtown library isn't finished yet, but it was quite a sight Wednesday night.

The builders and designers of the Central Library demonstrated how the exterior lighting works.

The $70 million library is still under construction. It's scheduled to reopen to the public in December.

The building will not be lit again until its grand opening.
