If you missed it, Katie Holmes has spoken! She was spotted at Whole Foods on Wednesday picking up July 4th goodies and told a Daily News reporter she is "all right, thank you."
And now she's surfacing on the August cover of Elle magazine, with an interview that was conducted about six weeks before her bombshell divorce news hit, reports People.com. Was she hinting at a split then?
When asked about her hubby, she said, "He has been Tom Cruise for 30 years. I know who I am and where I am and where I want to go, so I want to focus on that."
And where does she want to go?
Holmes explained that when she was in her 20s, "It's like you're trying too hard to figure everything out." (Holmes began dating Cruise when she was 26.) Now, at 33, she says, "I definitely feel much more comfortable in my own skin. I feel sexier," she says. "I'm starting to come into my own. It's like a new phase."
