London (CNN) -- An unexpected wrinkle in a zipline left London Mayor Boris Johnson dangling in the air.
Johnson was in London's Victoria Park promoting the Olympics when he climbed into the harness and started his slide.
But as you can see, the line didn't cooperate.
The mayor hovered above the ground for about five minutes as spectators snapped pictures.
The British newspaper, The Telegraph, said Johnson's staff eventually rescued the boss with a rope.
And the mayor's spokesman made an Olympics-related joke, telling reporters judges would give Johnson a lower score for poor artistic impression.
