'The Office' final season begins September 20

The Office has a closing date.

The Thursday NBC workplace comedy will end its run after the upcoming ninth season, which begins Sept. 20, executive producer Greg Daniels said today.

Daniels also said that Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston is directing the season's fourth episode, which is shooting this week.
