KPNX - It was the shot heard around the West Wing when President Obama wanted to see Joey Hudy fire his marshmallow launcher.

The White House Science Fair shot Joe's popularity out of the cannon too.

Joey gave several interviews to national and local media, but nothing could top being offered a paid internship at a prestigious tech business in Arizona.

Joey Hudy became the youngest intern in the history of Microchip in Chandler, Arizona.

"I like here. You get to know a lot of neat stuff and I've learned a lot so far," Joey said.

According to a supervisor at the company, Joey gets to work alongside engineers and experience saudering, building and programming.

Joey's in ninth grade and still traveling the country to events that highlight engineering, science and do-it-yourself projects.
