(CNN) - If you're not ready to say good-bye to Liz Lemon, Tracy Jordan and Jack Donaghy, there's a tweet of hope that "30 Rock" isn't really ending.
Actor Alec Baldwin, who plays Jack Donaghy on the show, tweeted that he's offered to take a 20 percent pay cut in order to have a full seventh and eighth season. He also tweeted that he realizes times have changed.
The shows' seventh and reportedly final season premier airs Thursday night.
Whether the tweet was for real remains to be seen.
Baldwin has used Twitter in the past to report he's leaving the show, which hasn't happened.
CNN received a "no comment" from reps at NBC about Baldwin's offer.
