CBL Malls to host reading events

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Five area malls are hosting reading events for children.

Celebrity storytellers will host the Read Across America event at five CBL Malls: Chesterfield Mall, Mid Rivers Mall, St. Clair Square, South County Center, and West County Center

The event will kick off Friday, March 1 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. with the "Reading Oath" and will continue on Saturday at the same time.

The first 25 kids at each event who donate a new children's book will receive a free Dr. Seuss "Cat in the Hat" hat. Complimentary bookmarks will also be available.

Book donations will be accepted at each mall until March 31.
