ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - GoDaddy.com says hundreds of new domain name registrations have been initiated since the election of Pope Francis on Wednesday afternoon.

Leela Brennan, a spokesperson for the company, says words such as pope, Francis, Bergoglio, and habemus papam are being registered with the company.

Brennan says in the first hour after the announcement, 479 pope-related domains were registered with GoDaddy. One hundred of those came within the first 10 minutes.
