Wendy Williams has never believed that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will actually get married.
So today, as the two stars are sharing their engagement news, the talk show host is having to back peddle a bit.
She made a vow about that on her talk show in the summer. "I could be wrong, and if I am let it be known on today, Monday June 24th, if I am wrong and they actually get married, I will eat crow right here on this stage... with a lot of hot sauce."
She added, "As long as it's cooked by somebody who knows what they're doing like Wolfgang Puck or Bobby Flay or somebody."
She also noted that the bird considered a "delicacy in Lithuania" where it's boiled or slow-cooked in a crock pot.
Williams has been saying for months that Kanye won't abide by the Kardashian family ties and will bail. But today she was able to wish them well.
"So, congratulations," Williams said. "I don't know anything about a date, but I do know what I said and I'm gonna stick to it! I've always said that Kim and Kanye will never get married. And I said, if they do get married, I will eat crow. Right here, on this show." She added, "I'm a woman of my word."
But, she warned, an "engagement is not a wedding," and she will eat it on "the 73rd day" of their union.
"I guess all around I'm happy. Except about that crow thing. Congratulations!" Wendy added.
