Wolves escape in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) – Two timber wolves escaped from a caged area at a home near Robertsville, according to a Facebook post from the Franklin County Sheriff's Department.

The wolves were last seen near Finny Road by a witness.

The gray wolves are 100 to 150 pounds and normally not aggressive. The owners say they tend to be skittish and he's not sure how they behave when they're hungry.

Anyone who sees the animals should not approach them, and instead should call the Franklin County Sheriff's Office at 636-583-2560 or Conservation Agent Ben Pursley at 636-744-2974.
