BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) - An official says that five people have died after a Ukrainian helicopter crashed in eastern Romania.
Tulcea county prefect Vasile Gudu told Realitatea TV that the helicopter was traveling from Moldova to Turkey when it crashed Thursday afternoon near the village of Ostrov, near the border with Moldova.
Air traffic control official Bogdan Donciu identified the chopper as a Ka26, which is used for agricultural purposes.
There were no details on who was on board.
