(CNN) - An anonymous hacker claims to have broken into Mitt Romney's personal e-mail account.
It seems that person e-mailed the web site "Gawker" with a password to a Hotmail e-mail account.
The e-mail address was recently made public in a Wall Street Journal story.
Romney used the account while he was the governor of Massachusetts.
The L.A. Times reports the hacker gained access by guessing the answer to the security question, "What is your favorite pet?"
The Romney campaign says the proper authorities are investigating.
