Rockaway Beach, NY (WNBC/NBC) - Residents living near Rockaway Beach's Riis Park are getting an unwanted eye-full.
A fence that separated the nude beach from surrounding homes was washed away last year during Hurricane Irene and hasn't been replaced.
In the meantime, the beach is still open and is being frequented by nude and partially-clad sunbathers.
New York State officials say they don't have plans to replace the fence anytime soon, due in part to state zoning laws.
