Mathieu Bonnier and Bruno Froideval set out to sea this morning from Chatham, Massachusetts.
Their transatlantic journey will take them to France about 3,600 miles away.
They are traveling in light carbon fiber boats that are stocked with 300 pounds of gear and food.
Both are experienced rowers who have completed Atlantic crossings before.
It should take them 70 to 80 days to reach their destination.
