(HLN) - The world's heaviest living woman tells HLN's Doctor Drew that sex with her ex-husband has had an unexpected benefit: weight loss.
Pauline Potter credits sex for helping her shed 98 pounds.
"It didn't start out as, that wasn't my intentions was to say like I didn't set out and say okay I'm going to do this you know, It kind of just happened that way and I did some research and whatever and found out that you can burn 500 calories. So I guess it didn't hurt. I was kind of having fun and helping myself at the same time," said Potter.
[Dr. Drew]: "Your survival depends on this. My understanding was that he was part of the weight problem at one point, is that true?"
"Um, indirectly, I don't, you know I can't blame him. I mean I weighed 500 when I met him and I weighed 600 by the time we got married," said Potter.
She admits she's been eating more fruits and fresh vegetables and has water therapy three to five times a week.
Guinness World Records named her the heaviest living woman last September.
She met her ex-husband online in 2002 and they married three years later.
They split in 2008, but Potter says they still love each other.
