San Antonio, TX (KENS) -- While police in San Antonio were arresting a couple suspected of aggravated robbery, 28-year-old suspect Sean Foxx popped the question.

And 24-year-old Latreela Woods accepted the proposal.

Police say she tried to shoplift from a Family Dollar.

And they say he fired a gun at the store while driving off.

Both say they are innocent.

"She got mental problems. Didn't rob nobody. I didn't do nothing. God bless everybody," says Sean Foxx, arrested fiancé. 
 
The two spent the first hours of their engagement behind bars, and face aggravated robbery charges.
