Hollywood friends and loved ones gathered today to honor actor Michael Clarke Duncan at a private funeral in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
The actor, best known for his Oscar-nominated role in The Green Mile, died Sept. 3 at the age of 54. Duncan had been in the hospital since having a heart attack in mid-July.
His fiance, Omarosa Manigault, told CNN today, "Doctors said he wouldn't survive after the heart attack for one or two days." She was crying as she continued. When asked if she revived him after the heart attack, she said, "Let's just focus on today and not go back to that day."
The former reality TV star added, "I don't remember him as Michael the actor or entertainer. He was the love of my life, he is the love of my life. I'm going to miss him so much."
Tom Hanks, who worked with Duncan on Green Mile, said on HLN, "Mike was in charge of love. He just had a zest and joy."
