HASTINGS, N.Y. (WSYR/CNN) - A teenager was killed in a five-car pile-up in New York Wednesday night.

State police say the 19-year-old was driving northbound on Interstate 81 when her car stalled in the center lane.

While she was calling 911, she was rear-ended by another vehicle, causing a chain-reaction crash.

The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.

Four other people were treated at the hospital and released.
