PORT ALLEN, LA (NBC) -- A Louisiana family is humming a different tune this evening. It's the droning of the hundreds of thousands of honeybees that have invaded this Port Allen home.

The homeowners say they can't afford to hire exterminators, which estimate it'll cost $800 to get rid of the swarm.

The city says it can't help, either.

For now, the children are forced to sleep on air mattresses in the living room while the mother, who's allergic to bees, is carrying an EpiPen in case she gets stung.
